Colour regulations
The Colours in Food (Amendment)(England) Regulations 2000 (SI 2000 No 481) implementing Commission Directive 1999/75/EC amending Directive 95/45/EC laying down specific purity criteria concerning colours for use in foodstuffs, were published on the 20 March 2000. The new legislation, which amends the Colours in Food Regulations 1995, comes into force in England on 30 June 2000. Separate legislation is being made for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
