National Register of Archives and Manuscripts in New Zealand
New Zealand's National Register of Archives and Manuscripts (NRAM) aims to provide access to information in the many non-government organisational records and personal papers held in archives, libraries and museums throughout New Zealand. The 1998 NRAM will be a continuation in electronic format of the paper format NRAM, last published 1992. The continuation of NRAM in electronic form has been initiated by a task force, representing the Archives and Records Association of New Zealand, the New Zealand Library and Information Association, the New Zealand Society of Archivists, National Archives and the National Library of New Zealand, and funded, in the short term, by the Lottery Grants Board. This grant has enabled the appointment of Nicola Frean as a part-time trainer/administrator, who in the last three months has run seven training courses throughout the country, and has received entries from ten contributors.
