Brazilian aircraft manufacturer selects PACE knowledge-based engineering software to streamline cabin configuration.

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has purchased Pacelab Cabin, PACE's standard tool for aircraft cabin configuration, to support its global sales operation. The knowledge-based engineering software enables sales teams to develop cabin configurations with great speed in order to present prospective customers with validated layout alternatives and competitor benchmarks.

Compared to standard CAD systems, Pacelab Cabin is said to yield significant time savings by automating lengthy, repetitive tasks and instantly highlighting design flaws and certification violations. The immediate layout update is reported to be particularly useful in live presentations where on-the-fly modifications can be devised in close consultation with the customer. In addition, sales teams are said to benefit from the software's advanced 3D visualisation and reporting capabilities which provide valuable input for commercial proposals and other sales documents.
