GE Inspection Technologies, a unit of General Electric Company recently announced that it has completed the acquisition of Phoenix X-ray, a major company in high-resolution computed tomography (CT) / X-ray technology used in non-destructive testing (NDT) applications..
The acquisition broadens GE's offerings for NDT customers in various industries, including aerospace, by adding Phoenix X-ray's innovative 3D CT, micro- and nano-technology systems to GE Inspection Technologies' current X-ray and NDT portfolio. In addition, Phoenix X-ray's customers in both the industrial and microelectronics segment will benefit from GE's global presence, technology depth and broad range of NDT products, systems and services.
