CAB 920 for better balancing

CAB 920 for better balancing

The new CAB 920 is the latest addition to Schenck's range of powerful computer-aided balancing measuring systems. The CAB 920 can be used with both vertical and horizontal balancing machines and is designed to deliver a new level of simplicity and accuracy for the most challenging tasks including high speed and multi-plane balancing and handling flexible rotors.

Based on industrial PC technology, the CAB 920 features a rugged touch screen monitor with a simple menu structure and clear dialogue to configure the rotor set up and balancing procedure. Results are displayed using both vector and numerical displays for up to four planes with the precise location and size of unbalance along with correction data for a range of balancing methods including drilling, milling or attaching weights. Information is accurately recorded using Schenck's latest digital Modular Measuring Device and in the case of high speed and flexible rotor balancing a Nyquist or Bode diagram is displayed.

Additional functions such as automatic determination of balance speed or calculation of ISO 1940 tolerances further simplify the balancing process, while the log book can be used to store the set up and calibration data for each rotor along with graphics and photographs.

The CAB 920 can be connected to two machines simultaneously and attached to the company network to exchange results electronically with other departments and import data into standard office programs such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint. This connectivity also supports remote diagnosis and makes it easy to attach additional hardware such as a printer, second screen or additional storage devices.

For complex balancing tasks, the CAB 920 has a wide range of application software that makes problems such as weight distribution, axial unbalance distribution and the overlapping balancing of rotors or nesting, simple to solve.

The CAB 920 can be supplied with new horizontal or vertical balancing machines as well as used to upgrade and modernise older Schenck machines or those from other manufacturers.
