Changes in top management at FLS Aerospace

FLS Industries, the parent company of FLS Aerospace reports that Stephen Henderson has resigned from his position as CEO, FLS Aerospace, to allow him to spend more time with his family in the United States. However, he will continue as a member of the board of directors of FLS Aerospace Holdings A/S.

Mike Humphreys, who held the position of group VP, strategic planning, will be acting chief executive officer until a new CEO is ready to take up the position. Mike, has a background in aeronautical engineering and has been active in the aerospace industry for more than 15 years. He joined FLS Aerospace nine years ago, and has held a number of senior positions, including group VP, sales & marketing. During the past eighteen months in his current role, he has played an active part in the company's vigorous turnaround process.

FLS Aerospace have also announced the following appointments: John Tromen is appointed group VP & general manager, Manchester & Scandinavia. For the past two 2 years, John has held to position of general manager Scandinavia, based out of Copenhagen In this role, he has successfully driven the Scandinavian operation, nurturing the relationship with its key customer, Premiair, leading the implementation of the 'Right First The "A' check programme and winning new customers for this region.

John will now play a key role in the restructuring of FLSA's Manchester base and will work with its customers to address their requirements. John, has previously worked at the Manchester base as operations manager and prior to joining FLSA he spent a year with Monarch based in Manchester and also worked with British Airways out of Heathrow.

Peter Srensonhas taken over as group VP, finance and legal, replacing Soren Lindgaard, who returned to Denmark for family reasons. Prior to this, Peter Srensen was corporate controller, FLS Industries, where he worked for 3 and a half years. He was previously an accountant with Binder for 5 years and has a master's degree in Auditing and A

Peter has worked closely with FLS Aerospace over the past 12 months is very familiar with the turnaround plan, the financial performance and objectives of the group.

Andrew Hoad has been appointed group VP, material solutions. In this new role, Andrew has responsibility for supply chain, component management, component repair, material planning, procurement, purchasing and logistics. This is a new position within FLSA, which will see the company maximising on the opportunity, presented by the various businesses, to leverage suppliers to get the best solutions for the entire organisation. Material Solutions will provide streamlined, cost effective solutions for internal and airline customers.

Andrew previously held the position of group VP, quality & engineering. Prior to joining FLSA in June 2000, he spent three years as director of engineering at HAECO.
