Keywords Bombardier Aerospace, Passenger transport

Bombardier Aerospace reports that it has concluded a major sale of 27 50-passenger CRJ regional jets with Alantic Coast Airlines Holdings, Inc. (ACAI) of Dulles Virginia, USA, for its Atlantic Coast Airlines/United Express operation. Value of the order is estimated at approximately $594 million US ($831.6 million Cdn).

The contract represents the conversion of 27 conditional orders to firm orders by the airline. In August last year when Atlantic Coast announced its conditional orders, it also placed three firm CR1200 orders that are now designated for its United Express programme. Including the above agreement Alantic Coast has ordered a total of 96 CR1200 aircraft, 34 of which are delivered and in service.
