Dunlop Precision Rubber has been awarded "green" status by Boeing, following a recent week-long ISBA (Interdivisional Supplier Business Assessment) process at the company's plants in Leicestershire, UK.

Pete Smith, managing director of Dunlop Precision commented:

Boeing's ISBA scheme is extremely rigorous. Over the last year we have all worked very hard to re-focus our business, in particular, listening to the voice of our customers and working in partnership with them. We are extremely proud of this rating and we believe it confirms the progress we have made towards our goal of becoming a world-class supplier as well as the technology leader in our sector of the aerospace industry.

ISBA (Interdivisional Supplier Business Assessment) is described by Boeing as a comprehensive supplier assessment and development process that brings on Boeing divisions together to collectively assess a supplier. By examining business processes, capability/capacity and performance, ISBA is a catalyst for continuous improvement and pre-emptively identifies and corrects issues that have the potential to impact on Boeing programmes. Using a standard process, ISBA generates a supplier rating (green, yellow or red) and action plans for continuous improvement.
