Ivan Öfverholm, President and CEO of Saab Ericsson Space in Göteborg, Sweden, is no longer CEO. After leading the company for exactly 16 years he has left as CEO to take the role of adviser to the board. He will remain as chairman of Austrian Aerospace, Vienna and on other boards. As his successor, Bengt MÎrtberg has been appointed as the new President for Saab Ericsson Space AB. He has previously served as the general manager for Saab Ericsson Space Mechanical Systems Division.
Bengt holds a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Technology in Linkoping, Sweden. He has worked for Saab Ericsson Space on several occasions since 1975 and in various staff positions. Bengt has acquired a wide international experience from different appointments in leading positions within the Inmarsat in London and Princeton, NY, USA for more than ten years.
He will continue the build-up work for a network of independent suppliers of space equipment.
