Reflectone change of name
Keywords BAe Systems
BAE Systems informs us that its business unit formerly known as Reflectone, prominent in simulation and training, has been renamed Flight Simulation and Training as all parts of the company adopt a single, consistent corporate identity as BAe Systems.
Reflectone, founded in 1939, was acquired by British Aerospace in May 1997. On 30 November last year, British Aerospace merged with Marconi Electronic Systems to form BAe Systems. The new company is said to be the world's second largest defence contractor and third largest aerospace company.
We understand that the strategic direction and objectives of the Flight Simulation and Training (formerly Reflectone) business unit will not change. The business unit will continue to focus on aviation training and simulation, offering a full range of products and services to both military and civil customers. Flight simulation and training will remain headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
