Brookhouse Patterns and Brookhouse Composites, of Darwen, have joined a select number of companies to be awarded a bronze award in the supply excellence programme operated by BAe Systems. The supply excellence programme (SEP) was initiated by BAe Systems, then British Aerospace, in 1998, to combine the strengths of the well proven preferred supplier process and the business excellence model. It aims to ensure continuous improvement in the business of the partners, companies and subcontractors with whom it works, through the application of a set of business excellence tools. These partner companies supply around 70 per cent of the total manufactured output of BAe Systems.
