SI Pressure Instruments, manufacturers of pressure calibration equipment, has supplied one of its Complete Calibration Kits (CCK) to GKN Westland Industrial.
GKN Westland Industrial modify and assemble parts for different aircraft, including the provision of rotor blades for helicopters. This includes testing the aircraft to ensure that they are at their optimum performance.
Commenting on the provision of the CCK, Steve MacBeath, Calibration Engineer at GKN Westland Industrial, said:
The CCK replaced the deadweight tester we were using before. The compact hand held style of PC6 Calibrator Head enables it to be contained in a lightweight aluminium case, which can be transported around the site easily. The kit also imports all measurement data to the SiCal software developed by SI, which allows us to keep an electronic record of all readings and print out calibration certificates.
The CCK is used all around GKN Westland Industrial's site to check pressure gauges.
