The Marbaix Group announces the purchase of the business and assets of Marwin Production Systems, the Wolverhampton based manufacturer of specialist, high precision machining systems.

With immediate effect this business will be consolidated with the Asquith Butler business, a division of Marbaix Holdings, to form a new company, AB Marwin Ltd.

The combination of these two long established businesses will, it is believed, create a company with the products and expertise to deliver comprehensive production solutions for large, complex parts within the aerospace, general engineering and automotive industries. Both businesses have a world-wide customer base which will now benefit from their combined extensive engineering and after-sales support structure throughout the major world markets.

The Marbaix Group was founded in 1915 and has remained, throughout its history, under the family control. The Group's core business has always been the design, manufacture and supply of machine tools to various sectors of industry in the UK and major export markets.
