Further investment at Brookhouse

Keywords Brookhouse, Milling

Brookhouse Patterns Ltd informs us that it has recently installed a second large Correa three-axis CNC milling machine, with an indexable head, to meet increasing demand for precisely machined moulding tools and components. The new machine will be used specifically in the manufacture of mould tools, vacuum route fixtures and pre-formers, which form part of the contract from British Aerospace for the tooling for carbon fibre composite components to be used on the Eurofighter.

The new milling machine has a work envelope of 5m x 2.5m x 1.5m and complements the existing four large milling machines which are already in place at the Darwen UK site. In addition to the aerospace work, these machines also produce models and moulds for components for a number of prestige motor cars.
