A new "Product Directory" which combines technical data with stock range information has been issued by special steels and metals distributor, TW Metals.
The 46 page A5 directory, produced as a loose leaf binder, has six product sections covering tube, pipe, bar, hollow bar, aerospace and special products. Each section describes the TW Metals product range giving information such as chemical composition, mechanical properties and dimensional tolerances for common specifications, as well as including specific technical data for each product type.
An additional section contains information relevant to stainless and high alloy steels, aluminium and aluminium alloys. It lists common specifications for the manufacture and testing of stainless steels, includes a glossary of common industry terms, descriptions of the aluminium alloy specification designation systems, and aluminium temper designations. Says TW Metals Sales Manager, Geoff Reaney, "The Directory details the products and services currently available from the company. However, we have also set out, based on our industry experience, to provide relevant technical data. We hope therefore that it provides a quick and easy reference for the most commonly used industry information. The loose leaf, binder format means that we can add or update sections as required".
