BAe selects Welcom's project management solution

Welcom has won a six figure contract to supply British Aerospace Military Aircraft & Aerostructures with its project and cost management solution and associated consultancy. In partnership with Baan, Welcom's Open Plan and Cobra product suites will be used as a result of BAe's Operational Efficiency Improvement (OEI) Programme, an initiative to improve efficiency and support to customers.

Through the contract awarded by BAe, Welcom will be involved in an intensive programme to prepare the business processes and IT for deployment. This will involve supplying and implementing 75 copies of Open Plan Professional, a full-featured project management system; 665 copies of Open Plan Desktop, a partner product designed for project team members who need access to strategic information; and ten copies of Cobra, a powerful cost management tool. The software implementation will be supported by associated consultancy.
