Additional KC-135 air-to-air refuelling business

Flight Refuelling Limited, a subsidiary of Cobham plc, has received confirmation from Boeing that an additional 12 aircraft sets of Mk32B air-to-air refuelling systems are to be ordered for the USAF KC-135 multi-point tanker conversion programme. Contract value is expected to exceed $17 million with deliveries scheduled for 1998 and 1999.

This order brings the total number of KC-135 conversions in service or on order to 35 comprising the USAF (20 aircraft), French Air Force (11 aircraft) and the Singapore Air Force (four aircraft).
