Groundbreaking CADD through CAM

ANVIL EXPRESS has arrived from MCS Ltd. Running on Windows NT at a mid-range price, this new suite of CADD/CAM/CAE software claims a range of features and a level of integration that may well challenge the future for other high-end systems.

ANVIL EXPRESS reportedly includes some of the most advanced solid modelling tools yet seen. For example AUTOSNAP 3-D instantly creates solids from 2-D geometry. This gives a quick way to evaluate designs and generate images for management review, marketing and presentations etc.

For more advanced solid models, ANVIL EXPRESS has integrated SolidWorks parts and assembly modelling. This makes a powerful combination with the complete ANVIL wireframe and surface modelling system, robust parametric drafting, plus an industry-leading dimensioning and annotation package.

With a full suite of translators (such as DWG, DXF, IGES and STEP), users of lesser systems can upgrade to ANVIL EXPRESS and users of traditional high-end systems can enjoy greater functionality at much lower overall cost for software, hardware and maintenance.

The advanced functionality of ANVIL EXPRESS also includes some world-class CAM capabilities: powerful multi-surface machining, 2.5 to 3 axis milling, drilling, turning and punching. Other modules include leading-edge tool path and machine simulation/verification software, a free NC post-processor, plus photorealistic rendering and animation.

This may already seem like an R&D wish list for many CAD/CAM vendors, but ANVIL EXPRESS claims it has further enhanced it with another industry first: comprehensive audio-visual, multimedia interactive tutorials for both novice and experienced users. These are designed to get users quickly up to speed by reducing the learning curve from months and weeks, to days and hours.

Although ANVIL EXPRESS is a new product with many innovations, its pedigree is assured by the fact that Manufacturing and Consulting Services remains one the World's oldest and best respected suppliers of mechanical CADD/CAM/CAE code.
