Dunlop Aviation reorganises sales and engineering

Dunlop Aviation Braking Systems has re-engineered the processes in its engineering and sales organisation to focus on project management and the service it offers to customers.

Sales project management and life cycle customer satisfaction responsibility will be with four product managers. Jeff Elmes will manage civil programmes, regional aircraft will be the responsibility of Keith Lawlor while Mike Knight will handle military programmes and Martin Pye business aircraft.

The importance of effective communication and information systems is recognised by the appointment of Chris Manton as Data Manager. To allocate and co-ordinate resources Richard Tipton has the role of Resource Manager.

Responsibility for the technology and marketing knowledge-base is split between seven Centres of Excellence Managers: Geoff Melbourne, Business Development; Ron Fisher, Friction Materials; Bob Foster, Wheels & Brake Structures; Carl Trustee, Structural Dynamics; Kevin Essex, Hydraulic Valves & Brake Components; Andy Wittingham, Braking Systems Electronics & Software; Alan Tibbatts, Sourcing.
