Racal's VXIbus ATE system integration
Racal Instruments has won further orders for its integrated VXIbus and IEEE-based automatic test systems, from the Cheltenham-based Defence Systems division of Smiths Industries Aerospace, in support of the Apache Longbow programme.
Racal's VXIbus expertise and proprietary system integration design software enabled the company to reduce the non-recurring engineering costs to meet the stringent requirements of Smiths Industries Aerospace. Racal's integrated VXIbus and IEEE-based ATE systems will be used to support the high rate production test of the Electrical Load Centre (ELC) units and high power switching module (HPSM) units of the of electrical power management system (EPMS).
