Sensory Analytics awarded second patent for coating measurement technologies

Sensory Analytics, an emerging leader in non-contact and non-destructive coating measurement systems, has announced the issuance of the company's second patent, United States Patent 7,128,985. This new patent covers the non-contact measurement of coatings using proprietary sensory technologies and extends the company's current intellectual property portfolio related to anodized coatings and additional coating layers. The company has a number of other US and international patent applications pending and on file.

“The granting of this additional patent reflects our focus on innovation, validates our technology leadership and increases the protection of our intellectual property,” said Greg Frisby, CEO of Sensory Analytics. “We are pleased to further extend the reach of our technologies within automotive, aerospace, medical and other manufacturing segments and to bring additional value to our shareholders.”

Based upon its expanding intellectual property portfolio, Sensory Analytics has launched a series of innovative measurement tools, including SpecMetrixe portable measurement instruments. All Sensory Analytics systems give users precise, real-time coating measurement results without destructive testing and sampling methods, with no harm to the coating itself. Capable of measuring coating thicknesses from 200nm to 200mm, SpecMetrix™ systems are supporting customers in a growing number of production, finishing and quality assurance areas. The patented systems, integrated with proprietary SensorMetrice software, enable real- time measurement and automatically record and store data for subsequent review or for use within other customer quality programs.
