New applications for DLS and zeta potential in nano materials characterization

Keywords: Nanotechnology, Materials

A new, freely downloadable audiovisual presentation given by Malvern Instruments' Dr Ana Morfesis, Applications Manager for dispersion systems, and Guest Presenter Professor James Schneider of the Chemical Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University, explores new applications for dynamic light scattering and zeta potential measurements in nano materials characterization.

This presentation highlights research areas where particle sizing by dynamic light scattering and zeta potential measurement by laser-Doppler electrophoresis are useful tools for nano materials. The study of vesicles, liposomes and surfactants used in drug delivery and bioseparation applications are discussed.
