After 15 years of manufacturing under licence for Atofina, Plascoat Systems have expanded their product range to include Plascoat 9944.040B.

9944.040B is a low density polyethylene powder coating manufactured in Holland at Plascoat's Zuidland plant. It is a thick single layer thermoplastic coating applied to the exterior of pipes and fittings and provides long lasting protection against corrosion for gas and oil pipes.

The thick coating applied in a thickness of between 1 and 4 mm also provides protection against in-transit damage with its high adhesion and flexibility properties. 9944.040B has exceptional UV resistance properties and a different levels of surface finish can be achieved such as a smooth glossy surface by post-heating the pipe under infrared heat.

Plascoat 9944.040B complies with DIN 30670 pipe coating standard.
