New Radtech president and board members appointed

The Association for UV and EB Technology welcomes a new President and board members for the new year. David Harbourne, President, Fusion UV Systems, assumes the association's presidency for a 2-year term. New board members include Tom Campbell, Campbell and Company; Michael J. Dvorchak, Bayer MaterialScience, LLC; and Paul Mills, UVPowerhouse. Ronald Golden, UCB Surface Specialties, has been elected incoming RadTech president and is scheduled to take office in 2007. In addition, Bill Bayer, Surface Specialties UCB; Greg Ellis, UV Systems; and Ed Maguire, ESI, have been re-elected to 2-year terms.

“UV/EB technology is primed for mega-growth”, says David Harbourne. “Manufacturers are fighting for their competitive lives – with the need to implement sustainable, efficient processes while enhancing profitability. UV/EB is such a process, and it is RadTech's mission to lead the way to get the word out about the technology's tremendous success, versatility and operational benefits.”

UV and EB offer manufacturers high- value, rapid-throughput ink-, coating-, adhesives- and composites-curing technology, which virtually eliminates emissions and lowers energy consumption compared with traditional curing methods. UV/EB technology typically provides users a safer, faster, more-efficient process, and, as a result, the industry has been growing at over twice the rate of the traditional processes during the last several years.
