Flowcrete Corrosion Protection showcased its new ATB 300® anti-static screed to its network of specialist applicators at a training event.
Designed for the pharmaceutical industry and other areas where an explosive risk is present, the new product is the latest addition to the time- proven Flowcrete range of ATB-300® shrink free vinyl ester systems.
The product introduction was one of a series of subjects covered during the two-day training course – held at Flowcrete Group's headquarters near Manchester – which attracted ATB 300® approved applicators from the UK, Ireland, Malaysia and Holland (Plate 1).
Contractors were also shown the pioneering spray-applied corrosion resistant linings, designed for the chemical processing and petro-chemical industries as spray-applied with glass reinforcement.

Nigel Cook, business development manager of Flowcrete Corrosion Protection, said: “We organised the event to deliver comprehensive training for our highly-skilled applicators and to demonstrate the unique qualities of the entire ATB 300® range. Five specialist companies, covering areas including spraying equipment, health and safety and testing systems, also attended the event to show their latest technology and techniques developing in the industry”.
ATB-300® products include a range of specialist corrosion resistant floor screeds and renders, waste water treatment coatings and bund-lining systems. The products can be applied on both steel and concrete structures.
Based on a special shrink free modified vinyl ester resin – the ATB-300® range was originally developed by Belgian chemist Emiel Roumieux. It has currently been patented in 20 countries and is recognised as one of the world's leading chemical protection products. Flowcrete Corrosion Protection has its head office in Putte, Belgium.
