As there have been many changes in legislation, standards, and design techniques, as well as a much broader involvement of Government and industry, EMC UK 2004 will encompass not only EMC but also related topics such as the Low Voltage Directive, functional safety, WEEE and telecommunications.
Alan Hutley, MD of organiser, Nutwood UK, comments: “The UK has not hosted an international EMC conference and exhibition since 1997.”
“This new event will take place at the new exhibition centre at Newbury Racecourse, and is designed to attract an international audience keen to learn about new techniques and the implications of the broader legislation.”
To ensure that the conference covers all the important issues and has the most up to date information, Nutwood has appointed the consortium of consultants EMC UK to organise the conference.
EMC UK is a consortium of five independent EMC experts each with their own international reputation for excellence in all aspects of EMC and EMC related subjects: Phil Carter of ACEmark Europe; Keith Armstrong of Cherry Clough Consultants; Dave Imeson of Compliance Europe; Tim Williams of Elmac Services; and Jim Wood of EMC Compliance (Conference Co-ordinator).
EMC UK will manage the conference programme with invited speakers presenting papers and will run several of the workshops and special events.
EMC UK 2004 is organised in association with the IEE and supported by EMC Industry Association (EMCIA), the EMC Test Laboratories Association (EMCTLA) and the IEEE GB and NI Chapter.
