TW Metals appoints machining specialist
Stainless steel and special alloys distributor TW Metals has announced the appointment of Mike Davies as account specialist responsible for the development of sales of Sanmac stainless steel hollow bar to UK companies involved in the manufacture of machined components (Plate 4).
TW Metals is the exclusive UK distributor for Sanmac standard stainless steel hollow bar grades (304/304L/316/316L) produced by Swedish steelmaker Sandvik Steel.

In his new role, Mike will focus on producers of machined components in a wide range of industries, promoting the benefits and potential cost savings of using hollow bar compared with conventional solid bar. He will provide technical machining support to customers and will have the backing of Sandvik Steel's extensive R&D facilities. At the same time he will liaise with Sandvik Steel's sister company, cutting tool specialist, Sandvik Coromant – to ensure that customers can maximise the machining benefits of Coromant's M-Line cutting tools.
