Additive reduces drying time and inhibits rust

Keywords Columbia Chemicals, Additives, Surface tension

Columbia Chemical have introduced onto the market CoflinTM Rinse-Aid RI, a new additive formulated to reduce drying time and inhibit flash rust on any unplated surfaces of parts during the final rinse cycle. Colfin Rinse-Aid RI is reported to provide maximum sheeting of water by lowering surface tension, which greatly reduces drying time on the finished work. The product also is claimed to add a temporary, thin, dry-to-the-touch finish coating that prevents flash rust on exposed steel, especially on the inside of tubes.

Colfin Rinse-Aid RI is believed to be economical to use because of low operating concentrations and it is low to non-foaming. The additive is said to be mild, safe and non-hazardous, so it will not affect the appearance of chromated parts. Colfin Rinse-Aid RI operates at the wide temperature range of 70°-140°F.
