Two main product types, known as Supercore and Cormet, feature in a new brochure on the full range of Metrode Products' own-manufactured flux cored wires.

Twenty different Metrode wires combine the productivity benefits of continuous working with the high-integrity and cosmetic appearance of Metrode's covered electrodes, utilising standard MIG welding equipment and low cost shielding gases.

The Supercore group - all premium grade small diameter gas shielded wires using matching austenitic strip material for the sheath - includes downhand and positional versions for standard 300 Series stainless steels, plus more specialist Duplex type steels.

Of the Cormet range, for welding creep-resisting chrome-moly steels commonly found in power and petrochemical plant, Cormet 1 (for P11 steels), Cormet 2 (for P22 steels), and Cormet 5 (for P5 steels) are all-positional, while M91/F91 (for P91 steels) is sufficiently specific to require consultation with Metrode's Technical Department.
