Sheen Instruments reports that it has launched a new, completely restyled range of corrosion cabinets, offering humidity, salt spray or cyclic testing, which means salt spray, humidity and drying in one self-contained unit.
The cabinets are available in 120, 450 or 1,000 litre sizes for each of the three types of test. Sheen Instruments believes that the 120-litre version (Plate 4) will be of particular interest. This is because it is designed in an unconventional format that is totally different to the more usual "chest freezer" style of most other corrosion cabinets.

The 120-litre version is still large enough to accommodate up to 100 (150 x 100 mm) test panels, yet it measures only 135 x 68 x 78cm and takes up little space on a table or bench top.
All models are constructed in glass reinforced plastic (GRP) with instrumentation housed within an ergonomically designed control panel which allows at-a-glance monitoring of cabinet conditions.
The salt spray and cyclic models feature an all plastic salt spray atomiser with integral filter; air purge facility, sample racks and a spares kit for typically 12 months' usage are in this range of products.
