Rob Gray, member of AAAJ’s Executive Editorial Advisory Board and member of its editorial board since AAAJ’s inception, has been honoured by HM the Queen in her Birthday Honours list recently published. As Professor of Social and Environmental Accounting at the University of St Andrews and Director of the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research, Rob is being awarded the MBE for “Services to the Accountancy Profession”. Author of over 250 books and articles on social and environmental accounting, sustainability, social responsibility and education, and one of the 14 founding members of the British Accounting Association Hall of Fame, Rob has been involved with many organisations concerned with issues of business, society and the environment. In 2001 he was elected the British Accounting Association Distinguished Academic Fellow.

We at AAAJ warmly congratulate Rob on this well deserved honour. He continues to be a landmark in the social and environmental accounting movement internationally and a fine research leader in the accounting discipline.
