Wiedenbach presents its new ink jet printer generation

Wiedenbach, a supplier of industrial ink jet printers and supplier of special application solutions, has launched its new generation of ink jet printers (Figure 4) – HPS 208, LPS 108 and D 108. These printers are specially suited for use in the cable and wire, automotive, electronics, steel and extrusion sectors.

Over 20 years experience and close collaboration with leading international companies are reflected in Wiedenbach's latest product range. The new printer range offers reliable, high speed, high quality industrial coding and marking solutions for specialist customer requirements. In addition to standard text, batch, time, date and numbering, the Wiedenbach printers can print logos, barcodes (e.g. 2/5i, code 39, EAN 13, etc.) and 2D data matrix codes.

Thanks to its unique and well established ink system (including diaphragm and pigment dispersal system), the HPS 208 is ideally suited for Wiedenbach's wide range of heavy pigmented inks. The LPS 108 incorporates a density meter to optimise printing with Wiedenbach's specialist range of light pigmented inks. These many light and heavy pigmented inks offer customers bright colours (white, red, yellow, blue, green, etc.), fast drying times and excellent adhesion on some of the most difficult substrates (plasticized PVC, PE, EPDM, nylon, steel, glass, etc.). Both these printers are supplied with fast processors and are designed to print at speeds of up to 10m/s. The D 108 is also offered and is suited for dye based inks and more simple applications.

Owing to many improvements Wiedenbach's new marking and coding systems offer numerous additional benefits to the customer.

A large number of improvements and extra features are now incorporated into the new product range. Print quality, reliability and high print repeat speeds – all musts in the innovative production environments Wiedenbach is typically located in – have all been improved giving customers quicker returns on their investment. All Wiedenbach printers are now offered with IP 65 protection as standard. The simplification of the user interface and the optimisation of software programmes improve the ease of operation of the printer and contribute to an even higher level of user- friendliness. Thanks to Ethernet (TCP/IP), the new ink jet printers provide customers with advanced connectivity within a factory environment. The systems can easily be integrated into existing production lines and are individually adjusted to the respective production process. Special accessories available with these printers complete the offering.
