www.garpa.org/

The Global Alliance of Rapid Prototyping Associations (GARPA), and its annual meeting, the Global Summit, were formed to encourage the sharing of information on rapid prototyping and related subjects across international borders. GARPA members from around the world participate in activities that include technical presentations at industry conferences, the publication of application case studies, business meetings, social events, and the formal and informal exchange of information. This site contains useful links and information about GARPA's activities although some of the information is outdated and there are a few dead links it would be a great place to start to find out about rapid prototyping. The site should be updated soon as an overhaul is promised in the near future.

www.gtma.co.uk/

This is the site of the Gauge and Toolmakers Association. The site offers many resources and links to companies involved in rapid manufacturing.

Sections containing details about technology, industry, training and events help this site to live up to its claims. The online supplier directories should prove useful to many engineers.

www.imeche.org.uk/manufacturing/rpma/about.asp

This is the Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Association (RMPA) section of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. It contains details of their membership, activities, the RMPA committee and a few useful links. This site is not vast but it is pleasant to use and does confer sufficient information about the RMPA.

www.sme.org/rpa/

This is the Rapid Technologies and Additive Manufacturing section of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (www.sme.org). This section contains details of steering committees, technical groups and newsletters. Other resources include a useful glossary of terms used in the rapid prototyping, a list of colleges and universities with rapid prototyping and tooling activity with links to their respective sites and also technical papers available to buy online.

This site would be useful to visit if you are involved in any area of rapid prototyping.

This site details marketing research undertaken available to purchase online, the most popular publication is likely to be the Wohlers Report 2005, an in-depth worldwide progress report on the rapid prototyping, tooling, and manufacturing state of the industry.

www.rpc.msoe.edu/

This is the web site of the Rapid Prototyping Centre (RPC), of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). The Rapid Prototyping Centre and Consortium have been involved in RP system and material evaluations as well as extending the applications of rapid prototyping and solid freeform fabrication since 1991. Companies in the consortium are listed with links to their sites along with information about research activities.

This site is a graphically good with plenty of well laid out information about the activities that the RPC are involved with.
