This patent relates to a measuring method for a mechatronics apparatus, and in particular to a measuring method for an electromagnetically actuated device and its associated sensor and electronic circuitry. The invention aims to minimize electromagnetically induced interference voltages that can degrade the sensors measurement accuracy and which can occur in inductive sensors but without incurring the added costs of shielding.
This is accomplished by restricting the sensor measurement to a time window, during which time the electromagnetically actuated component either has no current flow, or has a current change magnitude that is lower than a predetermined limit.
