This invention provides a compact mounting arrangement for sensors and associated components, which form part of a transmission system, and are resistant to the environment within a transmission case, minimize wire connections and provide extensive assembly versatility.

It comprises of a transmission housing having a mechatronics control module mounted therein. The mechatronics control module includes an electronic control unit having a flex foil circuit for the mounting of multiple electronic components including sensors which sense the hydraulic state of elements within the transmission system. The sensor is mounted to a base plate, which is mounted to a fixture that folds a flap. When the base plate and mounted sensor are removed from the fixture, the flap unfolds so that the circuit traces of the flex foil are adjacent to the contacts. The circuit traces are electrically connected to the contacts.
