Following the recent launch of their programmable position sensors, manufacturers ASM have released details of their new miniature cable actuated position sensors intended for large volume OEM applications.
Measuring from about 30mm square and having measurement ranges up to 1,250mm, the new WS31 and WS42 models are available with potentiometer or incremental encoder output (see Plate 12). Applications are infinite and the small size enables the sensors to be installed inside equipment where previously this was not possible.
