One of the world's leading developers and manufacturers of high performance laser beam sources has announced the signing of a distribution agreement between Rofin-Sinar UK Ltd, UK, a subsidiary, and Imaje SA, Bourg-les-Valence, France.
Imaje SA designs, manufactures and distributes a full range of coding and marking technologies along with a wide range of consumables, and Rofin-Sinar Ltd is the UK company which is currently involved in developing Rofin's latest range of sealed, low power, carbon dioxide lasers in the range 25 to 600 Watts, using proprietary diffusion cooled slab-laser technology.
The agreement allows for the immediate supply of Rofin's dot matrix laser marking technology for distribution worldwide by Imaje, and for future technical co-operation for the design and continuing development of laser based coding and marking systems. Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Peter Wirth, president and CEO of Rofin, commented: "This is an excellent opportunity to supply our latest low power CO2 lasers into this established market sector and co-operate with Imaje SA in this new business opportunity".
