Durr and Modular Automation have much in common to make them ideal business partners. Both adopt the modular system of machine design that reduces the cost and time necessary to design and build bespoke equipment. They are also both dominant in the automotive industry with Durr specialising in engine and transmission assembly.

Modular used Linkline conveyors as a key component in the design of its assembly system. "Linkline conveyors are ideal for our systems", confirmed William Bourn, Modular Automation's sales manager. "They are strong, very quiet and have no finger traps. They also have pallet locators to help position pallets accurately during assembly operations."

The new association with Durr will provide Modular Automation with a gateway into the US market for Linkline products. It will also ensure that the company's interests in the USA are managed by a professional, well-respected organisation with a wide understanding of the marketplace.
