The complete Profibus documentation set, including the -DP, -FMS and -PA specifications, profiles and installation guidelines, is now available on CD-ROM (Plate 7). Priced at just £150 to members of the Profibus Group and £300 to non-members, the new CD-ROM offers a vast library of documentation that would usually cost around £1,000 if bought as separate printed volumes.

To launch the new CD-ROM the Profibus Group is offering a copy free of charge to any company joining the Profibus Group at regular level or higher. Regular membership - costing just £500 - offers Profibus users, integrators and consultants a wide range of services and privileges, not least of which are substantial discounts on workshops and services of the newly established Profibus Competence Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University. Regular members also have access to a special Internet Reflector site to receive online support and independent technical advice from UK and overseas Profibus experts.
Additional benefits to regular members include free listing on the UK Services Database and on the UK Web site WWW.profibus.com, free publication of application reports in "Profinews"; a free copy of and the right to copy and distribute the Electronic Product Guide; and the opportunity to take an active role in workshops, seminars and press conferences or serve on the UK steering committee.
Members can also advertise on the global Profibus Web site www.profibus.com, obtain a free profibus presentation slide set on disk and use the Profibus logo and membership "button" on their stationery and marketing materials.
