Improved weld schedule set-up with optional SmartweldTM software

Keyword: Welding

A new Windows-based software package means that it is now possible to create weld schedules and control laser parameters from a PC, in addition to using a standard removable laser pendant. The product is available now from Leicester-based Townsend Coates.

Unitek Miyachi Lasers' Windows-based SmartWeld software communicates via an RS232/485 port to enable the user to control pulse shaping, repetition rate, shutter status, output energy, and other laser parameters from a desktop PC. Additionally, SmartWeld includes user-friendly online help menus, program documentation, and a troubleshooting guide. SmartWeld requires Windows version 3.1 or later. Monitors with 800 x 600 monitor screen resolution are recommended for easy viewing.

Free demonstration software can be found at www.unitekmiyachilasers.com
