French company SELIAtec has launched a new range of ISA cards that allow the flexible control and management of axes from any PC ­ the RM 01 and the RM 02. The cards are designed to control one, two or four axes for servo (RM 01) or stepping (RM 02) motors, The cards are fully modular ­ you can configure your system to match your exact requirements (see Plate 12).

RM 01 and RM 02 generate trapezoidal, S-curves and velocity profiles, electronic gearing, and home signals and output signals for power drives. The RM 01 module also manages PID regulation and provides closed-loop servo control with encoder returns. Both cards offer linear and circular interpolation. The modules "Boot and work" concept is compatible with Windows 95 and NT, and automatically loads the drivers.

The RM 01 and RM 02 modules offer digital control functions for use on a PC ISA bus with the basic card CF 04 (from the SELIAtec range) and the PC/104 bus with the basic card PF 01 (from the SELIAtec range).

The RM 01 and RM 02 modules are used to build a high-performance, digital, compact control system able to manage a large number of axes (in multiples of four) by means of different complementary products available in the SELIAtec range: PC/104 compatible CPU card, digital and analog input/output modules.
