Graphical PC tool from Weidmüller simplifies LonWorks programming
DIApro/LON from Weidmüller is a new and easy to learn graphical tool for the programming of flash PROM-based LonWorks nodes using a PC.
Programming can be performed using the graphical editor or, optionally, directly in Neuron C code using a text editor. DIApro/LON provides a range of applicationoriented function modules including logic, mathematics and control modules. Examples include AND, OR, +, , PID-regulator, multiplexer, etc. The user can also extend the library of standard functions to suit the application.
DIApro/LON especially simplifies the programming of Weidmüller DIAloc BA and BAMC modules by the provision of node templates which include pre-installed I/O routines and node settings (see Plate 2).
DIApro/LON supports all standard network variables (SNVTs), including structures. It allows the simple integration of programmed nodes into HELLO and DIAnet/ LON projects. Neuron C code can be generated using the Echelon field compiler.
The DIApro/LON system can be used for generating files off-line in a variety of formats (NXE, XIF, XFB). Alternatively, an optional network management tool is available for direct download and binding.

DIApro/LON is an LNS based system. It requires a suitable network interface for direct on-line operation (PCC10, PCLTA10 or PCNSI card). It can be used on any IBM-compatible PC with a minimum of 8MB of RAM and a 486 processor or better and runs under the Windows 95 or Windows NT operating system.
