We are passing through the critical phase of our life. Education is in quandary. Higher education students can manage their learning online but think of those millions and millions of school-going children. Very few get opportunity for online education. Those who are fortunate, even they do not get the true essence of classroom teaching, interaction with teachers and friends. I do not know; social psychologists and physicists can say it better. Long time back, I did a study on influence of classroom teaching and found it is more effective than online education. Perhaps technology can belie this in this pandemic situation. Now of course vaccine has come, and we are hopeful that this dreaded virus will have its death.

Current issue of the journal carries six scholarly papers. First paper by Jakubik, based on interpretivist research philosophy, examines manifestation of practical wisdom on management and leadership practices. This paper has a practice-based paradigm.

The second paper by Yameen, Bharadwaj and Ahmad investigates university branding for attraction and retention of employees. This study is based on cross-sectional data and has made use of exploratory factor analysis.

The third paper by Navin and Sinha explores social and financial performance of MFIs using simultaneous equations model.

The fourth paper by Bharath and Sreedevi explores the relationship among employee engagement, perception and satisfaction and their roles in health-care sector.

The fifth paper by Kohli and Singh, based on Kano model, assesses customers’ satisfaction for emerging technologies in passenger cars.

Finally, the sixth paper by Undale, Kulkarni and Patil examines perceived eWallet security in COVID-19 pandemic.

Vilakshan is happy to bring out this issue as per publication schedule and expects all forthcoming issues will be released on time.

Some accepted articles are made available online, which will come in future print volumes based on the final date of acceptance.
