Dictionary of the European Union (RR 2013/286). Sixth edition of this Routledge (previously Europa) title last reviewed nearly ten years ago (RR 2004/376) providing nearly 1,000 entries, some of quite substantial length, on the institutions, treaties, policies, procedures, personalities, technical terms, etc. of the European Union.

Encyclopedia of Applied Linguistics (RR 2013/292). A massive 1,100 entry work from Wiley-Blackwell, in ten volumes in its print version but also available online and to be updated twice-yearly, that will remain the standard work in the field for years to come.

Encyclopedia of Drug Metabolisms and Interactions (RR 2013/297). Another major work from Wiley, available online and as six print volumes, providing about 120 signed articles in subject order aimed at those working in the field of pharmacology or medicine and biology more generally.

Encyclopedia of Energy (RR 2013/298). A Salem Press four volume set, international in scope, with 500-3,500 word items aimed, like most of this publisher’s titles, at the high school market.

Encyclopedia of Sustainability, Science and Technology (RR 2013/299). A characteristic Springer major encyclopedic reference available in print (17 volumes) or online (planned for continuous updating) offering 550 peer-reviewed articles.

Milton Encyclopedia (RR 2013/294). The first significant encyclopedic reference on John Milton since William Bridge Hunter’s nine-volume A Milton Encyclopedia completed in 1983.

Native America: A State-by-State Historical Encyclopedia (RR 2013/309). A three-volume ABC-Clio title covering US Native American history in separate sections for the fifty states each including a chronological listing of events, a lengthy overview, detail on major personalities and cultural aspects.

Oxford Encyclopedia of American Cultural and Intellectual History (RR 2013/315). The latest contribution to the Oxford University Press series Oxford Encyclopedias of American History, previous volumes of which have covered social history, political and legal history and military and diplomatic history.
