Trudeau will spend the summer campaigning for re-election, defending his administration’s record while underscoring unfinished business for a second term.


  • A minority Liberal government would likely ally with the NDP, Greens or both, taking politics to the left.
  • A minority Conservative government would likely be short-lived, struggling to pass laws, with an election possible by 2021.
  • A Conservative government would push for an end to deficit spending.
