Insecurity in Niger may rise

Chefou was reportedly recruiting youths from the Fulani ethnic group. There has been confusion around what happened during the incident, which was the US military’s first loss of soldiers in Niger since the deployment of US Africa Command (AFRICOM).


  • Niger, together with Mali, will remain the weak links in the fight against jihadist militants.
