About this issue

Article Type: From the Editor From: International Journal of Managing Projects in Business, Volume 7, Issue 2

This second issue for 2014, Volume 7 is a special issue on project management maturity with Guest Editors Beverly Pasian and Nigel Williams. The last 15 years has seen much debate concerning definitions of project management maturity and use of various associated models. Despite this activity, a universal definition does not exist, and more than a dozen maturity models are in use by organisations across industry. The time has come to revisit and challenge the underlying theory and assumptions concerning project management maturity. This special issue comprises nine papers with papers from a range of countries to provide us with a global perspective on this important topic. There are seven regular papers in this SI and one research note and one practice note. An editorial on the SI by Beverly Pasian and Nigel Williams follows.

Finally we present a book review by Professor Derek Walker on a new book written on the important topic of stakeholders entitled Project Stakeholder Management authored by, Pernille Eskerod and Anna Lund Jepsen.
