Towards a digitally networked world
Abstract
Looks at the information technology revolution which is characterized by its dependence on knowledge and information — but knowledge is not exclusively the province of information technology. Uses a highlighted panel titled ‘Timeline’ which goes from 1946 to 1999 tracking IT progress in computers. Concludes that IT has shaped the economic manufacturing of Western capitalism.
