Abstract

Frequency of problem pregnancy and abortion is not always recognised – the British Pregnancy Advisory Service aims to liaise and advise large‐scale employers of women. The nature and scale of this health care problem are outlined; it is a problem for personnel managers who may need to supply counselling and employee support, confidentiality, information and access and benefits, professional agencies and facilities. Managers′ own attitudes may require modification.
