Counselling working mothers: a new challenge for employers
Abstract
Considers the continuing discrimination against pregnant women in company attitudes. Discusses maternity leave and the Employment Protection Act, problems working mothers encounter, the need for organisational forward planning, employer attitudes, and the needs of pregnant women. Summarises that while there is growing recognition of the need for practical help for working mothers, there is still a need for employers to understand the psychological aspects of pregnancy.
